Dr. Humes founded Vitahl in September 2005 with the goal of bringing together a luxurious spa environment with the safety and professionalism of a medical office. She graduated with a BS from Indiana University, completed Medical School at Touro University in California, and Residency at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver. Dr. Humes is on-site performing consultations and procedures, as well as supervising the staff on a daily basis. Dr. Humes is known for her expertise in cosmetic and laser medicine. By offering some of the best laser technology on the market, Dr. Humes and Vitahl have become known for their cutting edge laser treatments and advanced injection techniques. Dr. Humes trains physicians, nurses, and PAs from across the nation on lasers as well as in BOTOX® and dermal filler injection techniques. Dr. Humes has performed many thousands of aesthetic treatments with lasers and injectables. She is in the top 1% of Botox injectors in the country and also in the top 5% of Juvederm injectors in the country. She was invited by Allergan to participate in the Juvederm Experience Trials prior to the product’s release to the general public. Dr. Humes is considered an expert on liquidfacelift.com. She has been interviewed for her cosmetic medical expertise by news affiliates ABC, CBS, and NBC, and has served on expert panels for Cutera® Lasers during national presentations. Dr. Humes is a fellow of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), the American Medical Association (AMA), and the American College of Physicians (ACP) to name a few. Dr. Humes feels that the goal at VITAHL is to offer the best treatments available administered by some of the most highly qualified staff in town. She is committed to the highest standards of ethics and excellence and holds her staff to the same expectation.
In addition to serving as Medical Director for VITAHL Medical Aesthetics, Dr. Humes practices Internal Medicine at Saint Joseph Hospital in downtown Denver. In this position, she is an attending physician, caring for acutely ill patients and working with medical residents to train them to become attending physicians. Dr. Humes has participated in philanthropic medical care throughout her career. She has worked with the indigent population of Denver, and has participated in Medical Missions in Guatemala through DOCARE International. She recently has begun working with at-risk adolescents helping them to understand the changes they experience with puberty and the importance of medical care as they age.
