Q: How does VASERshape work?
A: The VASERshape uses dual head ultrasound to target the unwanted fat directly underneath the skin. The ultrasound waves produce a “cavitational effect” over the tissue to promote fat loss. This means that the variable pressure of the ultrasound produces microbubbles that disrupt the fat cells. It only attacks the unwanted fat deposit, leaving the adjacent structures such as skin, blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue intact.
Q. How does the body get rid of the fat after a VASERshape treatment?
A: VASERshape’s unique ultrasound treatment breaks the membranes of the fat cells and the fat cells burst. The content of the fat cells are then transported through the vascular and lymphatic system to the liver. The liver then processes this fat through the natural metabolic process to eliminate it from the body. This elimination is assisted by the lymphatic drainage handpiece on the VASERshape.
Q: What makes the VASERshape treatment so unique?
A: VASERshape is noninvasive and reduces the size of the treated areas without anesthesia and surgery. It is safe because the surrounding blood vessels, nerves and connective tissues are not damaged. The treatment has no unpleasant side effects or after effects. It is effective because the fat reduction is visible, sometimes immediately after a treatment, and it is measurable.
Q: Who can undergo this method?
A: Mostly any person who is interested in reducing unwanted fat. To insure that you are a suitable candidate a consultation is required. VASERShape was developed to help men and women who have a desire to reduce body fat. The treatment is not a substitute for regular exercise and healthy eating.
Q: What body areas can be treated?
A: The treatment can be performed on most areas of the body. The most popular areas are:

Q: How long is a treatment and how often should they be repeated?
A: One session takes less than 1 hour. The treatments are done approximately once a week for each treatment area. A series of 6 to 10 treatments is usually recommended depending on the size of the treated area.
Q: What kind of care is required after the treatment?
A: There is no downtime. After the treatment, one can immediately return to his/her daily routine. You should not have any pain or discomfort after the treatment. It is recommended to maintain adequate hydration before and after the treatment.
Q: What is the advantage of the VASERshapr over diet alone?
A: The approach is different. With a diet, you can reduce non-specific weight, which is often appropriate. The problem areas, however, you often cannot get rid of with diet alone. Therefore, VASERshape is the solution. It selectively removes stubborn fat deposits, thus, giving you a better body contour.
Q: What should I expect during a VASERshape treatment and what does it feel like?
A: We will first assess your body to discuss the treatment with you to make sure you are a good candidate for VASERshape. We will then treat the desired area with the dual-head ultrasound hand piece, and you will feel a warming of the skin in the area being treated. We will monitor your skin throughout the treatment, checking for mild redness and to monitor the skin temperature.
Q: Are the results permanent after the VASERshape treatment?
A. The fat cells that have been treated with VASERshape are gone. The reduction in fat should be long-lasting as long as one maintains a healthy diet and lifestyle and does not gain any significant weight.
